OBSERVING A DAY? Part 2

What about " Ye observe days, and months, and times, and years?", so you asked.

That was the cry of Paul to the Galatians who were bewitched into participating in the Jewish ceremonies. The context of that story was that, the Gentiles who were saved by Grace were now called by those religious Jews into worshiping and observing of days such as “Feast of Pentecost, Jubilees, Feast of unleavened bread, and all the ordinances contained in the Law of Moses. Whereas those festivals were shadows of a Person, Christ.

I know you wanna add your but into that, but there is no but in this…. We are not called into Judaism. We are called into Christ!

I've written earlier that whosoever as a Gentile that wants to return to ceremonial law of the Jews and all the others carnal laws;

"You have fallen from grace and Christ shall profit you nothing"

Some Jerusalem’s pilgrims, yea, those your ministers, they also come back to tell you that y’all need to celebrate those festivals but truth be told, like Paul said…

They zealously affect you, but not well; yea, they would exclude you, that ye might affect them.
Tell me, ye that desire to be under the law….

It is all system of laws!!!

If you have the money, it’s good to go to Jerusalem but, don’t come back and tell us the need to celebrate those days here!!
I know someone may want to use that verse as a defend forgetting the context by which it was written.

In all this thing what should be our attitude and response to the seemly evil days/festivals?

We should recognized that our Salvation is not attached to one celebration or festival. We should also see that there is nothing wrong in celebrating what’s good. All thing being equal, we should let our moderation be known to all men because Christ is at hand.

Meat doesn't make you more qualify neither does it disqualifies you from God’s Kingdom. What matters is that in all that we do, let it be it from a sincere heart and to the glory of the One who loves us.

If any man seems otherwise, and feeling like imposing his beliefs on you in the name of “Church”, tell such fellow that “My salvation isn't in your hands and thank God, you aren't my Savior

Therefore:

He that eats, eats to the Lord, for he gives God thanks; and he that eats not, to the Lord he eats not, and gives God thanks…. For to this end Christ both died, and rose, and revived, that he might be Lord both of the dead and living.

So where does that leave you when you criticize a brother? And where does that leave you when you condescend to a sister? I'd say it leaves you looking pretty silly — or worse. Eventually, we're all going to end up kneeling side by side in the place of judgment, facing God. Your critical and condescending ways aren't going to improve your position there one bit.

Read it for yourself in Scripture:

"As I live and breathe," God says,
"Every knee will bow before me;
Every tongue will tell the honest truth that I and only I am God."

So tend to your knitting. You've got your hands full just taking care of your own life before God.
Forget about deciding what's right for each other.
Here's what you need to be concerned about: that you don't get in the way of someone else, making life more difficult than it already is.

I'm convinced — Jesus convinced me! — that everything as it is in itself is holy. We, of course, by the way we treat it or talk about it, can contaminate it.

If you confuse others by making a big issue over what they eat or don't eat (or what they celebrate and don’t celebrate), you're no longer a companion with them in love, are you?

These, remember, are persons for whom Christ died. Would you risk sending them to hell over an item in their diet?  Don't you dare let a piece of God-blessed food become an occasion of soul-poisoning!

God's kingdom isn't a matter of what you put in your stomach, for goodness' sake. It's what God does with your life as he sets it right, puts it together, and completes it with joy.
Your task is to single-mindedly serve Christ. Do that and you'll kill two birds with one stone: pleasing the God above you and proving your worth to the people around you.

In conclusion…
Cultivate your own relationship with God, but don't impose it on others. You're fortunate if your behavior and your belief are coherent.

Also…

So don't put up with anyone pressuring you in details of diet, worship services, or holy days.
All those things are mere shadows cast before what was to come; the substance is Christ.

Don't tolerate people who try to run your life, ordering you to bow and scrape, insisting that you join their obsession with angels and that you seek out visions. They're a lot of hot air, that's all they are.
They're completely out of touch with the source of life, Christ, who puts us together in one piece, whose very breath and blood flow through us. He is the Head and we are the body. We can grow up healthy in God only as he nourishes us.

So, then, if with Christ you've put all that pretentious and infantile religion behind you, why do you let yourselves be bullied by it?
"Don't touch this! Don't taste that! Don't go near this!"
Do you think things that are here today and gone tomorrow are worth that kind of attention? Such things sound impressive if said in a deep enough voice. They even give the illusion of being pious and humble and ascetic. But they're just another way of showing off, making yourselves look important.

HAPPY HOLIDAY…..
Grace and Peace to you all.
